BLS for Healthcare Providers

This class is for individuals who are new to BLS or have an expired BLS certification (doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, massage therapist, physical therapists, etc.)

This class covers certification requirements for the American Heart Association (AHA). We’ll cover:

• Assessment Steps
• 7 Responses to Medical Emergencies
• CPR for adults, children, and infants
• Breaths for adult, children, and infants including the use of a BVM
• AED for adults, children, and infants
• Choking for adults, children, and infants
• Team approach to CPR
• Skills testing with use of feedback device
• Written AHA BLS Exam

Approximate BLS Course Length: 3.5 – 4 hours (depending on class size and time required for skills testing and written test)
